Since my works alludes to the difference between reading (legibility) and looking (recognizing), I considered how the idea or concept of my work can be visualized or drawn in different forms of media.

Each piece constantly calls for shifts in ways of looking. Through repetition and relationships between pieces, I wanted the works to allude to a stance of both familiarity and ‘distantiation.’

작업을 보는 것과 읽는 것 사이에서 선택해야하는 것에 대한 흥미로 언어를 이용한 작업을 이어가고 있다. 쉽게 읽히는 단어와 보이는 것이 일치하지 않을 때에 느끼는 낯설음은 오역과 컨텍스트에 대한 생각을 하게 한다. 해석의 실패는 주로 보는 자와 그 대상에서 이루어지지만, 어떨때는 보는 자 자신의 관념에 의해 생기기도 한다.
