Triangles, 2011-2012

“Global abstraction” involves a process of the whole in the former stage which becomes an alternative whole in its next stage. In other words, it is a metonymic repetition leading to representation.

Stages of abstraction/translation were on, the new image excluded the previous representational context (mountain, rooftop, triangle.) While forgetting where it was drawn from, the new image become a fractured sign. Each pieces only have formal and visual qualities in common with its predecessors.
